Dr. Arturo G. Azurdia III is Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology and Director of Pastoral Mentoring at Western Seminary in Portland, OR. He recently established a new church plant in Portland called Trinity Church where he is Senior Minister of Word and Worship. He is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area, having attended California State University at Hayward where he received a B. A. in Music Performance. His M. Div. was earned from The American Baptist Seminary of the West in Berkeley, CA, and his D. Min. from Westminster Seminary in Escondido, CA. He was the founding minister of Christ Community Church in Fairfield, CA, where he subsequently pastored for 19 years. Art is the author of Connected Christianity: Engaging Culture Without Compromise, Spirit Empowered Preaching, and a contributing author in additional volumes: Heralds of the King: Christ-Centered Sermons in the Tradition of Edmund P. Clowney, The Compromised Church, and Reforming Pastoral Ministry. He is a frequent speaker at various national and international conferences. His interests include film, literature, baseball, and the music of Arturo Sandoval. Art and his wife, Lori, have two children, Katherine and Jonathan.
David Prince has pastored Ashland Avenue Baptist Church in Lexington, KY since November 2003. He is married to Judi and they have 8 children (three boys and five girls). In addition to his role at Ashland, he is also an Associate Professor for Christian Preaching and Pastoral Ministry at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. David is the author of In the Arena: The Promise of Sports for Christian Discipleship (Broadman and Holman, 2016), The Church with Jesus as the Hero (Ashland Publishing, 2015), Jesus the Hero Family Devotional (Ashland Publishing, 2016). David is a baseball aficionado and an avid Atlanta Braves fan, but he also enjoys football and basketball. When he isn’t spending time with his family, or playing sports with his kids, he can usually be found reading.
David Miller has been preaching for 52 years. In that time he pastored for 5 years, was a Director of Missions in Arkansas for 25 years. David has been in full time evangelism since 1995 with Line Upon Line Ministries. He prefers the title “Country Preacher At Large.” He is an avid deer hunter and currently resides in Heber Springs, Arkansas. He and his wife Glenda have a son Josh, daughter-in-law Bethany, and grandson Malachi.
Jeff Noblit is the Senior Pastor-Teacher of Grace Life Church of the Shoals. He has served on the pastoral staff for 35 years, the last 27 as senior pastor. Jeff is the founder of Anchored in Truth Ministries, featuring expository preaching. Anchored in Truth is also heavily involved in church planting and church mentoring across America. He is the author of the Accountability Notebook, which has been a tool in personal discipleship for more than 25 years. He has also written booklets including The Great Answer to the Great Question, Born to Reform, Seeking God: Examining the State of Your Soul, and Baptism: Our Profession of Faith. He and his wife, Pam, have three daughters, Katie Leigh, who is married to Garrett Shirey, Taylor Beth, who is married to Tyler Farris, and Anna Claire. He has three grandchildren, Rylan, Aulcie Kate, and Rayce.
Jonathan Sims is the pastor of Shelbyville Mills Baptist Church in Shelbyville, TN. He has served there for the past 17 years. He is a native of Alabama and a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity. He has compiled all of his sermons into commentaries on the Old Testament books of Joshua, Proverbs, Daniel, and Nehemiah and the New Testament books of Matthew, Romans, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians. He has also written How to Build a Family God’s Way and an evangelistic booklet entitled How to Have Peace with God. His interests include cycling and bow hunting. Jonathan is married to Kala and they have five children – Emily, who is married to Kevin Stewart, Aimee, who is married to Joshua Branson, Julie, Nathan, and Ashleigh.
Seth Channell has served as an elder of Grace Life Church, Greater Des Moines, Iowa for four years. He was raised in Northwest Alabama and educated at The University of North Alabama and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife Debbie, have five children.
